Apology from my heart to yours…

By Max Simon

Hi there,

This feels important for me to share with you…

This weekend, I had a powerful realization about something that has probably effected both of us.

… It’s about being OUT-OF-ALIGNMENT, and what that does to your focus.

What are your thoughts? Please share…I would love to hear from you.

Much love,

Max

P.S. Here is the LINK to the event from this weekend. She’s amazing!!

    Thanks Max,

Really appreciate your effort and your honesty here. Looking forward to continuing the journey.

    Blessings,

  2. Elizabeth says:

Thank you Max, you hit the “nail on the head”. I didn’t in fact open your last 2 emails because I thought “more sales, more hype, it’s not a program I’m interested in….” delete…. Almost didn’t open this one but for the fact you stated “no hype, no sales.” so you didn’t lose me.

Looking forward to getting back to “authentic roots”, and our passion!

    Thank you again,

    Elizabeth

  3. Leah says:

Thanks Max for sharing. I did feel that there was too much emphasis on money. I just finished my first 2-day retreat and thanks for the things I learned from SOSS in making it an awesome experience. I didn’t make the money I had hoped, or the number of people, but the event was powerful and life transforming for everyone. They actually cut chords to their beliefs around money and one person called me this morning excited how the potential for more money than he ever could have imagined came in. Money is energy. When we remove the blocks to the flow, the money will just come. So again thanks. I appreciate the shift back and it’s all part of the learning process. Much love, Leah

    Hi Max,

Unfortunately I’ve recently learned that the message I’ve been sending is that I’m willing to give a lot away and people don’t need to give anything in return by way of investing in my products and services. I’ve invested in your Big Launch BluePrint Home Study Course.

As of yesterday it became clear that I will likely lose my business because my generosity has led to my cultivating a tribe of entitled followers. I’ve been trying to make shift to a business model in greater alignment with my core values which has caused those around me “client wise” to reveal their entitled nature and leave my services. The financial ramifications of this have been devastating.

I’m struggling with what to do to provide for my family at this point while also working to share my message and story with the world in a way that comes from the best of myself.

  5. Hi Max, I’m always inspired by your authenticity and ability to share your message, no matter what it is or how it changes. Thank you for this and all of your messages!

  6. Linda says:

    Hi, Max,
Thanks for your post. I have always hated the concept of “marketing” as it speaks to what I had thought was an ego-based need for “fame”, versus the spiritual desire to “serve”. As you spoke today, it helps me consider ways to “network” and get the message out to serve more people. I appreciate your going back to the “roots” that attracted me to you in the beginning. Add that to your “marketing” know-how, and it’s an unbeatable combination. Thanks for all you do, teach and share!

Much love to you, your father and your whole tribe. Linda

  7. Jenni P says:

Hi Max, like Leah, I had stopped reading your mails.
But it is not a fearsome, complex dance balancing between spiritual aspirations if our true intention is enabling the fulfilment of others by fulfilling ourselves first.

There is no forgiveness required because we are all just doing the best we can!:) But I appreciate your authenticity and humility because it gives you dignity, which is the mark of any great leader and I’m sure you will be.

I am actively promoting this shift in global ethics and any individuals who are bold enough to devote their business to ‘enabling’ others. I wil be in touch.

    Hi Max,

It is totally true that we all get side tracked but the most important thing is that when we realize it and come back to our true authentic place we are home once again! I love the fact you have such clarity and courage to do that in the most honest and uplifting way. Thank you for that. Very inspiring!

  9. Mary says:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this…What an amazing awareness from your weekend and so beautifully and accurately verbalized that I could feel your energy permeating the screen.
Thank you for sharing this…and your heart…feels really good..

  10. Ant says:

Actually Max I am getting a lot from both learning about the business aspects, as well as learning to express and articulate authentically so that people feel it, which is what you seem to be pointing more towards in this video. Business without that authenticity sucks for sure. But authentic expression with little or no grounding of business savvy is a little lame don’t you think? It is important to me to continue to learn to express authentically and have this manifest in a real way in the world so that my communities can get it, and get what they want. Thanks for all your effort and realness. THAT is what I feel people want.

  11. Pamela N says:

    Hello Max,

Only recently have I become aware of you via the webinar. For what it’s worth I was very touched by your genuine spirit during that interview. Staying on task is my biggest challenge so I appreciate your feelings of getting off course. The part of the interview where you mentioned your youthful rebel phase came to mind. This new awareness gets you more squarely on track. I find myself wanting to remind you to not “beat yourself up” but to take the insight, which you’ve done well. Kudos for your mission. Looking forward to seeing how things continue.

    Cordially, Pamela

  12. Curt says:

Max . . . thanks for being human . . . thanks for being aware and willing to acknowledge when you’re strayed a bit from the path. A valuable lesson for us all. Awesome post

  13. Christina says:

Although it is useful on earth. I imagine you have reached a plateau in the money dimension as a tool for growth. And heading in to this portal of the next phase in consciousness I am so happy that you have arrived at this juncture.

I am certain the next phase will prove to be even deeper and more fruitful for all of us.

All love to you. In alignment.

With Appreciation for your journey as we parallel in plight,
    Christina

  14. Anna says:

    Thank Max,

I admit I have been feeling disillusioned with the promise of 6 figure launches.

I am so happy you are back on track.

With much love and blessings to you and the Self Centred team.

    Anna

  15. Juliet says:

I completely resonate with everything you said in your blog. I know where you are because I am there, too. Your message was timely because this weekend I connected with my core and realized I needed to speak from my authentic being and not from the marketing strategies that I have been taught over the last 7 months. This is all part of our journey and everything we learn and experience is part of a perfect plan.

    Blessings,

    Juliet

  16. I was totally with you when you reported in your video that you had had an experience that had you realize that you had strayed from your path and that you were making the necessary adjustments in your life to center yourself. Where you lost me was when you globalized your experience to include what you presume is my experience. I have been feeling nothing like what you have described. I have long ago figured out my spiritually centered lifestyle and there is nothing you can do or say that will jar me from that.

I might suggest that there is more than one “tribe” that you are appealing to. Besides the one that is interested in your version of heart centered practice, there are is at least one, me, who is attracted to your ability to market your services exquisitely and not for your other skills.

I do admire your honesty and that is a quality that is a good role model for all your tribes.

  17. Alex says:

    Dear Max,

Thank you for sharing with us your knowledge, wisdom and much love.
You inspired me to redo my website and what and how I am offering the Light to people.
I am planning to create videos as you do, may be not so great as yours :)
I will redo all messages and make them naked.
Visit our website LightFromArt.com in couple of weeks to see the results.

  18. Cindy says:

    Hi Max,

Thank you for sharing your insight in such an authentic powerful way. What an incredible way to model for all of us the way to “come home within” when we have wondered off in a “not so self-centered” way. I really appreciate this SO much. I struggle at times with the marketing piece of my business. Feeling and knowing that my marketing is coming from the deeper prompting from within rather than getting caught up in my more worldly hype of my personality. Much Love to you. I truly appreciate you and the deep commitment I sense from you in bringing higher understanding and love into the everyday life and business of others. I am honored to be a part of this tribe!

    Hugs,

    Cindy

  19. Kay Ray says:

    Hello Max,

I do not feel the need for an apology because I know first hand the importance of a good business and marketing strategy. With out them and a good cash flow it make it very difficult to get any message out effectively much less put food on the table.

Your awareness of the need for a shift in energy focus is great. There is a time and space that should be allotted to the different aspects of this path that we are on. Your new awareness is what it is and you have made a choice around it just as you made the choices to focus on what you did before. Be gentle with yourself and aware of the meanings that you are assigning to the choices you have made and to yourself.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

    Much gratitude and respect,
    Kay Ray

    Hi Max,

I appreciate your message but I have to say your authentic caring and alignment with who you are shines through in everything of yours I’ve seen so far.

    Max,

It takes a big person to step up and say “I’m sorry”…I came to this tribe because of your sincerity to help those of us who wanted to genuinely make a difference in the lives of others…Unfortunately I started feeling like I had been duped into another money making (for you) scheme… I like some of the others stopped opening your emails for fear of another “pitch”…It is so wonderful to see the true character of who you are come to light…I am so pleased to see the steps you have taken to help get us back on course ,and look forward to the return of Max Simon “one of God’s Leaders”.

  22. Christine says:

    Dear Max,
Thank you for your honesty…It feels like you are back and true to yourself again.
I had also stopped reading the emails, it all felt so wrong, but I won’t miss one now. :-)
    Much love

  24. Very Beautiful thing you did in this video. Courageous and inspiring. I am from the Senior Executive Service in my country, Brazil. I want to learn more on how to inspire and support people who work in the non profitable sector (NGOs). I don´t need to make money with this, because I am very well paid by the government of Brazil. I will make good videos and manuals because I believe this people can change our country for better.
Your words touched me. I am with you!

  25. alison says:

Must admit Max, felt the same way myself and you werent the only one….they were all at it. Came across you on John’s webinair. Was struck by your honesty and integrity and decided to join in. However after listening to the various leaders spouting their hype and offering life changing techniques for a small fee, woke up with Personal growth hangover. Do this…don’t do that…if you havent made $1000000 by the end of the week, its your fault because you are blocking it hahahahaha . I think its important to focus on whats actually important and thats the secret to life…much love Alison x
Ps I asked my authentic self that question this morning and that was the answer I got lol

  27. Heike Lorenz says:

    Dear Max

I’m glad you posted this video and I honor not only the commitment you have to get back to the truth in yourself but also that you share with us how you feel and the insights you won.

You’re right, we all are human beings, on a spiritual journey, we all make mistakes, and we all learn from them. The learning experience you made helped me – and I’m sure quite many of us – to discern what’s true for me instead of going down the road with you.

I was with you in the very beginning, in the seminar you did with Elyse, and in most of your videos and thought you’re really on a great path. However, when you came up with these selling techniques that sound like new paradigm but are really still old paradigm (fear based, scarcity thinking etc.) you “lost me”.

I admire your integrity and the way you stand up for yourself and the truth you found over the weekend. I think you’re on a great path, a TRUE leader of our time and I’m very much looking forward to being on that journey of being of service to the world with you!

    Much love,
    Heike

  28. John says:

    Dear Max,

Once again, I think you’ve proven to me why you are one of the few business leaders I really respect. This was a great message–and a great reminder, which we all need.

The issue is a complex one, because we all need resources (both financial and strategic) in order to fulfill our spiritual mission and enter into the life experiences we we want. To visit sacred places, to contribute to important causes, and even to hang out with really cool people, such as Max Simon, takes money.

There seems to be a dichotomy between the spiritual and profane, but I think it’s resolved when we check our ethical compass regularly along the way and make sure we remain heart-centered and focused on what is ultimately most important–being a force for good and heightened consciousness in this world.

Thanks again for this powerful reminder, and thanks for being Max Simon!

    –John

  29. CC says:

thanks max, i go through this often in my own biz. but i really think that is the journey of the conscious helper/business person. its the way to learn the balance, totally necessary as you take it to the next level.

  30. Mary Castro says:

    Thanks Max!
I appreciate your open heart and your respect. You were one of my favorites! Maybe because I could feel you changing and growing during this process WITH ME, While you were in the lead!
I feel that you are connected to your heart and soul (and to mine) and it is nice to part of your tribe! Love to you and thank you! Mary

  31. Love your heart Max … and the rest of you too :-) You know where I stand & from here…I’d say you’re on track to lead some pretty remarkable change :-)

    I adore you!

Dear Max, there’s only one here, and it is doing whatever doings, forgetting its wholeness, judging itself, feeling un-well, asking for forgiveness…. and then slowly remembering its wholeness and wellness, returning to laughter and realizing there is nothing to forgive and never was :)
    Enjoy yourself, dearest one…

  33. Itaba says:

Thanks Max for this sobering reminder that helped me re-focus and realign with my own truth. So often we can get caught up in all the business building techniques that we forget why we started this journey in the first place. We forget what our gift is and how we are truly supposed to serve others with it. But as others have said, it’s all a part of how we grow too.

I recently listened to another 6-figure-launch expert share that the launch marketing process is to email your sub-list a whole lot (2-3 times a week) until you start to receive complaints. That’s when you’ll know to pull back a bit with the email blasts. Gosh, that just doesn’t feel like how I’d want to interact with my list when I launch a new program. Feels quite a bit out of integrity for me.

Anyways, for what it’s worth, I never doubted your integrity. It did feel a teeny bit hypey but honestly I enjoy watching and learning marketing and sales processes and loved watching yours for the last 2 launches I observed. I thought it was great overall.

And like everyone else, I just need to remember to keep all of it in balance and, as another poster said here, check my integrity/ethical compass along the way.

  34. Carolyn says:

No, I have to say (with love) that I disagree. I think it’s so important for spiritually-focused entrepreneurs to be at peace with money, sales, asking for sales. They often lack this or have a hard time reconciling money/sales with spirituality. This has to do with personal issues and messages about wealth. You were doing great with your videos. But this one reinforces the idea that demonstrating abundance and wealth is somehow less. I wouldn’t include this in a launch. When I read a sales promotion from someone, I do it with respect that the merchant has a right to tell me about their product, not JUST give ME value. If someone isn’t okay with other people “selling” to them, I’d bet that they themselves also haven’t given themselves permission to sell and make money. Consider that if people don’t open emails in fear of receiving a pitch, even though they are part of your tribe, that this just reflects their discomfort of making pitches which is a necessary part of sales. It’s THEIR issue. I’m guessing that your tribe has money issues they need to work on. Yes, I would agree that the focus behind the sales of helping others is important…and it more than came through for me in your videos. You will not offend those in your tribe who have moved beyond their money issues. (When I watched this video I started to wonder if you have money issues yourself.) Best wishes and thanks for sharing those videos.

  35. Karen Kay says:

    Hi Max,

I’m new to your list, so I guess we’re getting back to where we both belong….! I do appreciate your candor. It is refreshing and hopeful to see such a young person with so much wisdom. I am sure no apology was necessary but from the comments above I can tell people appreciated it. It’s funny you mention that we want to serve others. That is so true for me, and I am happy to know that not only do you feel that way but that you believe we all do. That is a wonderful outlook! I look forward to growing with you for a long time!

    Hugs & Love!

  36. harry says:

Max, with greatest respect, I agree with the previous post (Carolyn). I taught marketing and promotion to ‘new age’ ‘conscious’ businesspeople for years, and this issue continued to surface — many of us who have a deep desire to be of service and to share our message with the world carry unconscious shame around money, receiving, abundance, and so on — and this gets in the way of our reaching those who need us teh most…

I was actually enjoying your more recent videos because they expressed both heart and a solid groudnedness in the realities of the marketplace. Yes, its important to communicate your message in a way that is authentic and in fullest integrity for you — and — I can see how the recent launch contained languaging that could be perceived as an over-focus on money and business success. At the same time, far too many intelligent, loving, conscious people who have true value to share with the world never reach many of those who need them the most because they have not addressed their own shadows around money.

Of course, most of us have been exposed to marketing messages (and messengers) that are ethically bankrupt, morally offensive, and spiritually barren, and this makes it even more difficult to see that there is a way to market our products and services ethically, honestly, authentically. At the same time, i invite you not to ‘throw out the baby with the bathwater’. Some of the messaging and techniques you are using have tremendous merit, and will help many who need what you have to offer.

I applaud your honesty and at the same time invite you to release any fear, guilt, or shame around balancing your desire to serve with your intention to communicate the value of what you are offering with presence and power.

    Blessings

    Harry

    Max,

When you grow we all grow and I have been feeling this myself. I took a step back, got in touch with my calling or my body of work then relaunched. It brought me great happiness and the money was secondary indeed.

    Looking fwd to the unfolding.

    Lots of healing love,
    Hillary :)

  39. Hi Max,

This post is the first time i’ve come across your work, you were highly recommended by a friend as i’m writing a book on authenticity. It seems she was indeed right to put us in touch :) I look forward to hearing more of your journey and your inspiration and that I have joined the tribe at a pivotal moment.

my warmest wishes and I look forward to sharing the journey

  40. Coach Louise says:

Thank you for being you. I imagine your apology helped heal many people. Like a ripple in the ocean. A healing harmonic wave to the ears, which moves straight down to the depths of the soul. May I be clear that this healing is not from your misdoings, but from the over all money hype on the net. Your sweetness has always shown through, I believe.
As we move forward entering a new earth, we are learning how we want to be. I for one want marketing to be turned upside down. Instead of seeing myself on top with money supporting me from all those who signed up, I like seeing I am on the bottom connected with mother earth, and that my connection to God and the universe is so strong, that I can hold others up with all the abundance of the universe. May my faith and yours always be so strong that it helps others trust the process of life, and to know they are always supported if they just listen to the wisdom inside, and outside of their self. Many Blessings, Coach Louise Rouse americasgriefcoach.com

Hi Max! You really are somthin’!!!! Brave and real! You are a profound gift to me! With that said, I do have a fear. I feel that I am TAKING from a person that is struggling. This is not rational or true, yet it is there with a vengence! I just identified it since seeing your last video.. Thank you! Mary

  43. Glenn says:

    Hi Max,

First of all, your video was very concerning to me. Before I explain why, let me first address the subject of “focusing on money”, as I noticed one person specifically mentioned this and I don’t want what I have to say to be misconstrued at all. Focusing on money, focusing on the lack of it and the need for it, is self-centered. When you’re in a heart-centered business you don’t “focus” on money, you focus on providing value and blessing others. You listen to people and you respond to their needs. You focus on being a positive influence and impacting as many people in the most positive way you can. The money then follows, just as it should. I don’t want anyone reading what follows to misunderstand this. I’ll ask anyone reading this to go ahead and read it again slowly, if you need to before going on, to make sure you understand it fully.

Having said that, what I wanted to say is, Max, please, don’t shift over to the “spiritual” side of things too much. As a number of people have already written, they found out the hard way that being overly “spiritual”, they’ve given their products and services away and can’t support themselves with their businesses.

What they need, rather than being “spiritual” is an understanding that receiving money is good, it is an indication of how much help they are providing and how much impact on others lives they are making. A vow of poverty is not what being in business is all about, and the best thing anyone can do for the poor is not to be one of them.

When people understand that a payment is a statement of something being valued, that it is a commitment a client is making to themselves and an investment they are making in themselves from their perspective; that it is a symbol of how much good they are doing in the world; when they finally get that, their perspective about making money shifts. It would do people far more good to receive this paradigm shift to see money as good, and making money as a sign of how much they are blessing others and how they in turn deserve to be blessed, than to allow people to continue thinking making money is somehow bad or not spiritual.

People have been brainwashed and have poverty mindsets, but there was a reason for that where the church and the ruling class benefitted from their labors and their offerings. We’re talking Dark Age teachings here that are still with us, passed down for generations and still erroneously taught in the church. People need to understand that it is far more blessed to be able to spend a month on a spiritual retreat and feel at one with the universe because one can afford to, than to spend month after month fearing bankruptcy because one doesn’t understand the spiritual blessing that money is.

Personally, I have spent the last year taking every course that promised to get my business up and running from all the major gurus, most costing thousands of dollars. I won’t name names here, but you’d recognize every name were I to tell you. They talk about teaching people how to be “spiritualpreneurs” and how to run a successful “heart-centered business”. Their courses range from 3 day intensives to 6 month group courses. They teach various things they call “tools” which are nothing more than vapid explanations for think of something else and make yourself feel better a little bit at a time, or think of how things could be worse and then imagine the opposite. They tell you to fill out an “order form to the universe” and so on, just believing somehow the universe is going to magically deliver it to you. When it doesn’t, they tell you just believe the right thing is happening at the right time, while you’re going broke week after week. On the last day of the course when you still have no business and still have the same questions you had at the very first session, they tell you everything is the way it is supposed to be. When you explain that the course promised to teach how to make your business successful and you don’t have a business and you still have no money coming in, they tell you “everything is happening just the way it’s supposed to” and “just believe”.

So, no, please don’t go and get all “spiritual” on us, Max. Please don’t. We need the technical know-how that no one else is teaching. We need the information that will help us get the money coming in that no one else is providing. We need the guidelines and the checklists that no one else is making available. We need to understand what goes on behind the scenes and what it really takes to create products; to develop reputations and brand ourselves; to generate email lists; to identify and connect with our tribe; how to launch products; how to make a business actually work on a day to day basis, and how to get the money coming in.

We need to shift our thinking and to overcome the beliefs that others gave to us that somehow having money is wrong. They were wrong, and they were wrong to pass those beliefs on to us.

There are many verses in the bible where it expressly states that Gods desire is for his children to be financially abundant. Some of the richest people in the bible were Gods children, King Solomon, King David, and others. God never asked anyone to take a vow of poverty, that came from the Catholic Church specifically around the 4th century. God owns it all and he wants his kids to enjoy their inheritance, and that includes financial abundance.

Every spiritual based course I have taken has provided absolutely no information whatsoever about how to actually run a business. Toward the end of one of the 6 month courses I took I spoke up and asked the guru if they could please share with us what it actually took to run a business on a day to day basis, how do you schedule your product development time, how do you put a virtual team together, how do you actually plan and launch a teleseminar. This was a course I paid $2k for. You know what I got for an answer? The guru said, “If I were to put together a ‘look behind the curtain’ of what it actually took to run a business on a day to day basis, would you sign up for it?” I was absolutely appalled. I said that’s what I thought I had paid for, how to successfully run a “spiritual, heart-centered” business. I was told they looked forward to seeing me sign up for the course once they developed it, and went on to ask if anyone else had any questions…!

I took another course that promised to teach people how to get their coaching business off the ground and have clients willing to pay them high coaching fees within 30 days. The sole focus of this course was supposed to be about having a successful business up and running with everything you need in place and paying clients lining up within 30 days. In the last week of the course they were just beginning to teach about getting a “splash page” in place and doing some marketing. Their advice was to copy someone else’s website and then open a Google Adwords account, then pay for keywords to drive traffic to your website. At the end of 30 days, of the 45 people who had taken the course, not one had any clients as a result of the class.

So, please, Max… we need information. We need the nuts and bolts. We need instruction. We need the day to day operating manuals. We need the guidelines and the checklists. We need to know how to run a business, how to attract clients, how to generate a mailing list, how to create products that people want, and we need to know how to get money coming in. That’s the reason a business exists, to make a profit from the value that we provide to others. The more value we provide, the more people desire to show their appreciation for the value they have received in return, which we refer to as profit.

If someone has a business which benefits many people, the sign of that businesses good health and prosperity is an abundance of income from those who value what they receive. If someone has a poor or failing business, there is little if any money coming in, for they do not produce value.

It is not spiritual or Gods will for people to lose their businesses, to lose their homes, to lose their standing in the community, to have to take a job at minimum wage if they can even find one, or become homeless. If someone has that kind of believing going on, that is their believing that is causing that, not some higher form of spirituality. If they want to be homeless or go live on a mountain and pray all day, let them go ahead. But don’t tell them the right thing is to open a business and remain poor. Don’t tell them it’s okay to open a business and keep believing there’s something spiritual about not making any money. Don’t tell them it’s somehow spiritual to just believe the universe will provide if you just meditate and pray and visualize. I’ve been there, I’ve spent the money, I’ve taken the courses, and no, it doesn’t work, and it’s not what we need.

We each have a dream of having successful businesses. We each have a dream of providing value to others. We each have a dream of using our gifts and our talents to show up in the world and be counted as someone who matters. Successful businesses make money. Period. Successful businesses are seen as healthy or sick according to the amount of income they produce. If anyone doesn’t understand or agree with this, let them go sit on a mountain and give up all their worldly possessions, but don’t, I repeat, don’t let them start up a business and then think it’s Gods will for them to have the business fail, or not produce enough money to pay for their bills or their worldly existence.

Money itself is not good or bad, it simply amplifies what one already is. If one is a bad person, having more money will allow them to do more bad things. If one is a good person having more money will allow them to do more good things. But having a successful business and learning how to let more people know the value that you offer, learning how to create better products, learning how to bless more people than ever, learning how to set up shopping carts so you can be paid, all of these things are necessary for anyone to have a successful business, and NONE of this is being taught by any of those gurus that are teaching “spiritualpreneurism” or how to run a “heart-centered business”. None. I know because I’ve taken the courses.

…and this is why we are so thankful for you, Max. I certainly know that I am, and from the notes I’ve read above there’s quite a few others who have come to realize they need to know how to run a successful business and how to make money after trying to be “spiritual”, too.

So, please… teach us how to have successful businesses and how to make money. Teach us how to understand the technical side of things, the practical side of things, the day to day operation side of things…. the things as you say, we “need” to know… because we do need to know this stuff, Max. We’re dying out here… we’re failing, and our hope, our dreams, our lives, and our businesses are falling apart. You have a tremendous background, a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, and you are yourself one hell of a heart-centered teacher.

Please teach us what we need to know, and show us how to make our businesses prosper. Teach us how to go from not being able to get a website up or not having a single product or client after a solid year of trying and spending every last resource we had until we’re facing an imminent bankruptcy and homelessness to turning it all around after what you have available to share with us. Teach us how to have our first paying clients shortly after spending time with you and finally having the income to pay our bills, and then going on from there to build a strong prospering business with products that people are eager to buy and who are happy to pay us.

Teach us how to create the products, do the launch, plan the live events and finally, finally have the lifestyle and freedom that we’ve only been able to dream about before meeting you because we’ve finally learned how to create this value and make others aware that it’s available to them… and let us say we are so thankful for Max coming into our lives and teaching us all of this stuff that no one else would teach or share with us, that no one else knew how to teach and share with us…

Don’t listen to those who want to go live on the mountaintop talking about focusing on money too much, let them go if that’s what they want… or put it in perspective for them: making money is a good thing; it is the result of providing value to others; it is focusing on the lack of money and the need for money that is bad, because it is a self-centered and fear based perspective which other people can sense, and it’s repelling to business. When money is seen in the light it should be, as the result of how much benefit someone has provided to others, as an indication fo how much positive influence they have in others lives, an indication of how much good they do in the world, then money is seen in a positive light, as it should be, and the object is to bless others and provide as much value as one can. This perspective/mindset places money in the right place, as it should be, and is attractive to customers, and leads to a healthy business.

We are business people who each have a dream of somehow figuring out how to get our businesses up and running, and I for one have already listened to everyone else, and not one of them has provided what you are offering, and I don’t believe I’m the only one who is truly believing you can provide this information we’re looking for and that we need… I believe there’s a lot of people who believe you have the information they’re looking for and once they receive it, they’re going to be saying thank God for Max… Max Simon is the only one who truly delivered… Max Simon saved my business and maybe even saved my life… Max was the only one who taught me what I needed to actually build a successful business, how to create and launch products people want, and how to make the kind of money I’ve always wanted and deserved to have… and it was Max Simon who did that for me…

With the greatest admiration and respect…

Glenn wrote a realy greatl letter to you. I agree that you have the expertise to teach people how to run a business. At your workshop in June, I benefited most from the lessons on how to start the businesses, how to do web pages that resonate, how to connect to your tribe. I thought that the last days were the best days, with John Asaraf and the media people. I loved hearing people’s stories, but I see now that I got the most out of the brass tacks, the actual ways, step by step, on how to create a business. I have so many ideas! That is my problem. I want to teach singing to heal, writing for self expression. I enjoy tutoring at the library, teaching ESL, tutoring students. It’s always been hard for me to do one thing! I have taught learning disabled children for years, and I love it. I like to sing, to make up songs for people at parties. I like to write poetry. I love singing in operas. So, I do a little of everything. I also love my family and want to continue to connect with them and add to their lives by being there for them. I am sixty one years old. My husband and I are semi-retired, but I continue to work and give because it makes me happy. I am now working with a woman at the hospital health club, the human resources director. We are looking for grants to get a program of comedy to heal off the ground in Napa, California. I started meeting with her after I went to your workshop. If you know of any grants we may apply for to help people laugh their way to health, please tell me! Studies show that Laughter and humor helps cells, hormones, and reduces pain. I really want to do this! That does not mean I do not want to do all of the other wonderful things that I do in the world. I will focus on this for now until we get it going, then I will continue with the other work too. I totally identify with what your mother said. I was given that same message as a child. It was all about what I could not do. I have left over remnants of that rebellious teen-ager within me. I seek balance in all that I do. I try to do so much because I was given messages that it was too hard by one parent, and that I could do anything that I wanted from the other. Balance is the key for me. Thank you for your committment to helping others. Don’t forget to feed yourself, Max. Give yourself some down time, relaxation, and meditation time. I am glad that you are young and that you have the mind and inclination to accomplish these wonderful goals. Peace, Rona

The thing that I am most afraid of is that I will not be able to achieve what I dream of. That I will always do something to fall short.
