I was tempted to publish this post on Valentines day, but it hadn’t quite formed into a complete thought yet and it was too important just push out for the sake of a holiday…
…So instead, I took a little extra time to make sure this message was communicated to you with the utmost power, clarity, and conviction.
Because what I’m about to say is, without a question, one of the most important aspects of your success in business (and life).
So soak up every word, because we’re going to go deep (just the way you and I like it!).
You See, People Always Ask Me…
“How did you turn things around so quickly?”
Because in case you’re new to our tribe (since hundreds of people joined in the last few weeks), I went from loosing $80,000 in 2008 (and feeling totally stressed out) to making over $500,000 in 2009 (and feeling totally on-purpose and in flow)…
…While working less time and going on more vacations.
And even though I haven’t broke the 7-figure mark yet (which will happen in the next 4 months), it certainly was a very quick turn-around.
So when I think about what it was that caused the shift, the answer is fairly simple…
I started caring more than other people’s fears
That’s right, caring more than other people’s fear.
You see, I realized that there is no shortage of good information out there. Heck, there are enough New York Times Best Selling books to teach you how to be a millionaire, get in shape, find the love of your life, travel around the world, have kids, build a house, and whatever else you want…to keep you busy for 1,000 lifetimes.
So the problem clearly isn’t a lack of exposure to knowledge.
The problem is that people are afraid…
… To do things they haven’t done before.
… To raise their prices.
… To invest in themselves.
… To do whatever it takes to get what they want.
And guess what? Giving you more information about why you should do these things isn’t going to help.
Because it’s not the information that matters….it’s the energy, the support, and the presence of the person delivering the knowledge that makes the difference.
Watch, I’ll prove it to you…
Listen to this knowledge very closely and take action on everything I share. I’m telling you that these ingredients were fundamental to my growth.
Here goes:
… Whatever you’ve been waiting to do because you’re scared, get over it and do it right now. It’s not so bad…and it will turn out better than you think.
… Raise your prices immediately. People will pay it. You’ll attract better clients and they will be more committed to their own growth.
… Get a coach right now. Go to that next seminar. These things are necessary for your growth and evolution. Invest in yourself. Nobody will invest in you if you don’t do it first.
GO OUT AND DO IT….RIGHT NOW!!!
There I said it. So now are you going to go out and do it?
If you’re like most, probably not. Because you’ll read these words, agree that they are valid and useful, and then stay right where you are.
Blah.
And then you’ll wonder why business isn’t picking up or why you’re not getting better results.
But go with me on a journey for a moment
And see how this feels in your body…
Imagine if you and I were on the phone together, and you told me about all of your problems – like not having enough clients, not making enough money, and not stepping into your power.
And as a result of those problems, you weren’t showing up in your relationships, experiencing the freedom you desire, or enjoying life the way you wanted.
So I listened to your story, realized that I could be a catalyst for your transformation, and went on to explain how I could help you (which included my program).
And as I started to talk about money…
You started to recoil…
Because you got afraid…about not having the funds….about whether you were ready…about whatever else came to mind.
And imagine if I said: “OK, that’s fine. I get that you are crying out for help and that I am just the person to take you from where you are to where you want to go….but I’ll let you sink back into your hole and shrivel away. No problem.”
Because this is EXACTLY what most people do in this situation….they stop the moment the other person puts up a little bit of resistance.
But can you see that it actually has nothing to do with you, your service, your offering, or anything else?
It has to do with their fear, and that’s why it’s so important for you to care more than other people’s fears.
… Which looks like STEPPING UP to inspire people over their “fear hump”.
… Which looks like helping them commit to their own transformation.
… Which looks like moving people from inaction to action.
And if you become wealthy and fulfilled in the process, than everyone wins.
Do you see how this works?
To summarize (because I know you want it simple and to the point), here’s your take-away.
If you have something to offer that world that will help someone else heal, transform, or succeed, it is your responsibility to do everything in your power to get them to move forward with you.
Yes, they will put up resistance. Yes, they will have excuses. Yes, it will be uncomfortable.
And YES, this is when you must STEP UP and care more than other people’s fears…
Because this is the secret to your success….and this is how the world will transform.

Wow! Max great. What I got from this blog is that there is always and exchange of energy in any encounter of this kind. Either their energy frequency is exchanged to your energy frequency about their success, or your energy frequency is exchanged to support their fear energy frequency. This is really subtle and is something that I can now embrace when I experience any rejection to my offer, and go that one step further, especially when I know so deeply that what I am offering will only benefit them.
I do have a story about this. Many, many years ago in LA I was selling Real Estate. I had a couple who were interested in a townhouse. I found one for them, but it was a little above their budget and we were looking at their finances and monthly payment. It was extremely tight as they had to cut somethings out of their budget which they could do. I did not convince them to buy, even though I knew it was a good investment, instead I agreed with their fear of not having any extra money at the end of the month. So they did not buy. Six months later that same townhouse resold for $50,000 more than what they would have purchased it for. Caring about their fears resulted in all of us loosing an opportunity for wealth.

This is an excellent post and I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, my friend! I have and am doing each of these things and the EXACT things you are saying are happening. I have raised my prices, hired and coach…and am teaching some very powerful new things that I could only teach once I got over my own fear of the things in my own life that lead up to me teaching what I preach! Authenticity is also KEY to success in today;s market! (I know you teach that too!! Thank you, Brother!!)
My next workshop is all about moving people AWAY from their addiction to Emotional Pain & Suffering and the 7 step process to FREEDOM…From Victim to FREEDOM! A Major TV network is coming to film this class for a documentary and I had 5 people sign up before I even announced it, said what it is about or even the price!!! NOW…I call that being in ALIGNMENT! Thanks Max. I broke through even my own fears. I made some extraordinary new business relationships to enhance my businesses. I reached out to three new people who I admire in the entrepreneurial arena with hopes to connect and bring on as new mentors/coaches. I raised my prices to draw in a higher end client base. I am confidently moving forward while focusing on my larger purpose.
I am taking action larger than I could ever imagine I would in my life.
This is the year I am making a quantum leap into the next level of entrepreneurial success.

Spend time appreciating what you have already created up til now.
You will be surprised to recognize how much abundance you have. After all you are 100% responsible for where you are so until you can love what you have done (a mirror of your state of consciousness…neither good nor bad, just a fact), you can not feel inspired to get crystal clear on what you really want right now and take that first action step, the ignition that cranks up momentum, confidence, new ideas, fresh energy and spiritual power.

Sit still and do nothing but be with yourself.
Listen to stillness and the symphony of sounds that spring up like exploding water bubbles; could be a neighbor’s dog, rain drumming on the roof, the hum of the refrigerator motor, the angry horn of the city bus, your heart tapping your chest for attention, the birds squabbling over some female, the purr of your cat in your lap… This little pause clears the mind, relaxes the body, makes you smile. Before you know it, you will abruptly leap to your feet to note down aaah haaa’s, perfect-for-now insights, that will spur you into taking positive action. You will simply know exactly what to do in this moment.
Hi Max, I realised just this week that what people didn’t need was a 7 millionth ‘5 steps to abundance’ or ‘10 steps to success’ or ‘16 thoughts for transformation’…it was ‘Here’s how to get out of debt, bankruptcy and lack, and flourish right now this second’ As a former ‘addicted’ bankrupt (yes its possible and I suspect I’m not the only one!) it just hadn’t occured to me that the esoteric and spiritual side of this work was useless without being able to cope with today’s challenges and rise from them like a pheonix as I have done. How to metamorphose the nail biting, lip chewing, tummy wrenching dread into astounding success and fulfilment. I just don’t know why it hadn’t occurred to me before that people want instant practical relief from the fears.. Instead I kept offering my loving support in the same guise as everybody else. I think I really just found my calling!

Max, what you say here about caring more than other people’s fears makes sense to me. Perhaps I’ve used the excuse that I am honoring the others free will, but by bowing to the resistance……to the limitation….to the fear…..I do diminish my own life energy as well as the life energy of the other.
I wonder how this fits in with what I heard Burt Gold say two days ago. He attributed his success in healing others to his “not caring”……..not an investment in whether it worked or did not work………in not being invested it seemed to be a VOILA’!…….it worked.
Angela may have pointed to a key in that it’s about not caring about the fears whether it be the other peoples or our own. If there is too much investment/ caring about results there’s most likely a fear element that is sticky and attached ……..not the true caring you speak of …….the life giving care that is so lovely to revel in………caring about results is not like caring about life….about people…….about ourselves.
