I was deep in meditation this morning when the message I’m about to share with you came through.
I almost didn’t write this, because I was afraid that it might upset you…
But that’s no way to live life is it? Allowing fear to stop you from speaking your truth (and we’ve all let that happen way too many times)…
So I’ll warn you now…this is going to get intense and cause you to stretch your mind a bit…
…But I’m sure you’ll get a lot from (which is always my goal). So here goes.
I believe that life is a series of opportunities. Every moment, you have an opportunity to CHOOSE to take action, breathe, soften, struggle, overcome, or wallow away.
Unfortunately, most will never, ever, embrace how profound this opportunity really is.
Instead, they will become choice-less and succumb to the drudgery of the world around them. They will get beaten down by life. They will retreat in fear. They will go back into hiding. They will stay small. They will never share their gifts. They will remain a victim to their circumstance.
This might not apply to you….but it probably does.
Why?
Because I’m speaking to myself too.
You see, I’ve experienced some intense struggle and pain in my life, and in my business. In 2008 while I was working 65 hours a week, I was losing money like crazy, feeling totally off-center, struggling, and just about ready to throw up my hands and give up (you know what I’m talking about).
Not to mention the fact that I was well on my way to loosing $80,000 in my business (which completely dwindled away all of my savings) and was close to being about $19,000 in debt.
To top it off, just three days after getting a new car, I got into a pretty bad accident that nearly totaled my new Honda and ended up giving my shady insurance company a loop hole to drop me from their policy…which then turned into the DMV taking my license away (for a whole flippin’ year) because I was supposedly “driving without insurance.”
Now I haven’t shared this story in a long time…
Because it’s pretty embarrassing, and a very dark and intense period in my life.
But here’s the catch….
This is when I decided to put aside my ego, stop pretending that I had all the answers, and start saying YES the opportunities in front of me.
Because before this, I had it all figured it out. I had all the answers. I knew what I was doing. I knew where I was going….
…Or at least, that’s what I thought…
Unfortunately, I was too stubborn, too arrogant, too busy, too broke, too smart, too spiritual, or too whatever else came to mind at the moment of decision, to take advantage of any of the opportunities that were right in front of my face.
But ENOUGH was ENOUGH, and I was ready to put that all aside and get help. And at that moment, I was given the chance to study with one of the greatest marketing coaches in the nation at a weekend seminar…

But I made this commitment to myself, to learn, to grow, to get help…

And when I look at the reason why, I realized that it’s because I decided it was time to stop making excuses as to why I couldn’t do something, why something needed to change before I took action, and why I wasn’t ready…
…and I started saying YES to the opportunities that presented themselves, right in front of me.
…of which there were always many.
But before, I was able to rationalize my lame decisions with thoughts like: “It’s not really going to be that good, or another opportunity like this will come around again soon.”
But finally, I suffered enough.
Meaning, I was broke, lost, confused, angry, frustrated, and all around burnt out ENOUGH to finally open myself up to learning a new way of being…
That’s when I made a choice to start saying YES to the opportunities that were right in front of my face.
And my first YES was to that $3000 seminar….
…And OH MAN, it was worth every single penny (and trust me, I was counting).
The changes that took place inside of me, about mindset, money, marketing, business, life, myself, and my purpose….were more profound than words could ever possibly describe.
And it didn’t stop there…

P.S. Really put things in perspective here. The course is only $997, and you might have to invest a little more for travel and housing.

It’s funny what just happened here. I was meditating myself just before I opened your letter. My meditation pulled me somewhere to a room where a bunch of people, none of whome I knew, were sitting around in a circle discussing ‘fate’ and then one said “. . . but now is the time for action!” And then I came back with that word “action” in my head and opened up my inbox and there you were telling me you had written me a letter and low and behold you were telling me the same thing. . . :O), but here’s the thing, I’m not sure why I signed up for this with you. I don’t have a business or even an idea for a business. I’ve written a couple of books that I wrote back when my spiritual life was still waiting for me to open up to it. I recieve emails from Julia Mikk and Love the Breath of Love that’s how I hooked up with you. It’s all still a foggy, Divine Mystery to me, but I am smiling real wide about it. Thank you for your words. Like I said, I may not be speaking to you in this note.
What I do know, as I travel around the world speaking and putting on events, is that so many people are just flat out stuck right now.
And what’s worse, they are resistant to help or simply don’t feel like they need it (even if they are really struggling).

Thanks for speaking your truth-love that! I feel very drawn to attending your event but right now I’m on the fence. Although, the answer ultimately has to come from within me,I thought perhaps you might be willing to offer some guidance…..
Here are the reasons that don’t already have me saying yes:
-I am part of Ali Brown and James Roche’s mastermind marketing group and I am in the middle of doing Alexis Martin Neely’s money map program which makes me wonder if in fact, there will be some redundancy
-I also have a one-on-one marketing coach Karin Witzig Rozell who I will be working with for the next 5 months
-The timing feels inconvenient and uncomfortable since my business partner just decided he doesn’t want to be in a coaching business together anymore with me and so I am starting from scratch with a new one on my own, which leaves me with a lot of things I need to sort out at the moment. Timing wise, I just got back from a business retreat and will be attending one the first week in March which puts your event smack dab in the middle with no time to breath.
-Realistically, money is tight (lots of debt and currently no income) and I really have to be wise on how I use it to build my business.
_ I am a big leaper, act on faith and have a tendency to say yes too much. I’ve been working on saying no more and not over booking myself or spending carelessly.
Here are the reasons that I want to do it:
-I believe in signs and the fact of the matter is that I was looking up videos of Alexis Martin Neely and came across one where she’s giving you a testimonial (this was literally a few days ago and before then, I had never heard your name). The next day, I receive an email from James Roche, telling me about attending your teleseminar.
-Your young, fresh and bringing something new that is more in line with who I am then some of the other coaches I’ve worked with. For example, I’m a young wellness person but who also had an intense corporate NYC background, so I’m excited that finally there is an event that is holistically minded, organic food, yoga and biz stuff- I sooooo get that which leads me to the next thing.
-What spoke to me in your copy is the part of leading “visionaries”. I believe that I am a pioneer. The majority of my life I’ve done things that never made any sense to anyone on the outside but were always successful. With some coaches, I can feel like I need to fit into a certain category for their coaching to be effective. I’ve always thought, “where do the pioneers go for help (other then the Divine)?” So, a visionary coach like you that is marrying the wellness with the business (my 2 passions) may help me peel back a layer and help me with the kind of clarity that suits my creative mind. Or possibly by just seeing you in action will give me the permission to do things in my own unique way.
-This may be just the perfect starting place for me now that I can fully embrace a business by myself incorporating all of my passions and life purpose.
-Uncomfortable and inconvenient may just symbolize my next stage of growth.

I am so excited to be coming to this event with a group of people who I consider part of my future “dream team.” We are sharing transportation and accommodations costs to make it more affordable. We are selling items we no longer need (old jewelry, wedding ring from a former marriage, art), we are coming up with creative solutions to generate the funds to register for this event because we recognize the value it will have on taking our businesses and missions to the next level. We are ready to go big! We know it takes BIG strides to make BIG dreams come true!
If you are interested in going and don’t currently have the money to pay for it- please stretch yourself and get creative! Have a bake sale! Do a car wash! Sell things on Craigslist and Ebay that have been collecting in your closets and garage that are just taking up space~ and open up the possibilities! If it is truly something you desire, be unreasonable and create the path to make it happen. If not this time, set the intention for the next one and take consistent action to get there. Believe in yourself, because you are worth it!

4) Give “up”.
When you have left your home for a vacation, holiday, weekend, a day – give all your problems them up there, there universe, god, the angels. And then have the best time of your life, you dont care about your “problem”, you just have a good time. Eat, breathe, play, read books, go for a walk, dance, have Sex
5) Just do your work.
When you come back, take the fresh energy and work. Do all the things that have to be done. Dont start to ask: Should I do this or should I do that first? Just work and get into the power of you own working energy field again, that IS already there. The new fresh energy will bring new ideas and bigger steps – and opportunities – while you do your basic work.
